Description

Designed for neurotology fellows, pediatric otolaryngology fellows, and senior residents who will become the next generation of otologists, this one-day course will provide hands-on dissection for endoscopic ear surgery (EES) in the state-of-the-art Joseph B. Nadol, Jr., MD, Surgical Training Laboratory at Massachusetts Eye and Ear. Participants will receive instruction and perform dissections under the guidance of experienced EES faculty, with a high instructor to participant ratio for personalized teaching. The day will also feature brief didactic lectures and panel discussions focused on surgical techniques in EES.

All US and Canadian neurotology fellows, pediatric otolaryngology fellows, otology fellows, and senior residents (PGY-4, or -5) applying for or intending to apply for these fellowships are invited and encouraged to apply. Apply early as space is limited to 24 participants.

Priority for acceptance into the course will be 1) fellows/residents from as many institutions as possible, 2) level of training (fellows, then residents), and 3) date of the application submission. Confirmation of enrollment will be done on a rolling basis, and you should receive a response within two weeks. Please do not buy plane tickets or make travel plans until your enrollment is confirmed.

If accepted one-night hotel stay in Boston near Mass. Eye and Ear (for those coming from out of town) and course fee will be covered.
